|
BID WRITER: Arcade, NYQualifications:
The Bid Writer is essential to APG’s success in winning new business contracts by crafting the timely completion of all proposals on behalf of the company.The Bid Writer must be able to read and comprehend Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) efficiently, produce succinct high-level RFP summaries, assemble information in a logical and appealing presentation, and edit proposals for content precision.A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; however relevant work experience will also be considered.Experience in the Collection Industry is preferred, though not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work with subject matter experts in both operational and non-operational departments to script responses that respond to RFP requirement
2. Track deadlines to ensure key departments respond and feedback is incorporated; prepare and submit clarification questions to prospective client
3. Assemble and organize essential information from multiple department source
4. Maintain and utilize boilerplates to craft a comprehensive and appealing proposa
5. Proofread/edit all proposal materials for compliance with RFP, presentation, clarity, et ceter
6. Other duties as assigned by management; minimal travel may be required for attendance at pre-proposal conferencesKnowledge and Skills:
1. Must read, write and speak fluent Englis
2. Must possess superior writing, editing, and reading skills.
3. Extensive writing education and/or experience necessar
4. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skill
5. Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outloo
6. Adobe Acrobat skills a plu
7. Strong internet searching skills a plus1-3 Years Experience in specialized writing or RFP writingBA Degree in Business, Specialized Writing, English or related field.
