Role description:


This is a unique opportunity to join a group of seasoned professionals in developing the next generation consumer insights department.


Logitech is committed to developing lasting relationships with its consumers and is looking for smart planners and/or CI professionals who fundamentally understand business and have a fresh, empathetic, global and local approach to gathering insight. The right candidate will help advance the evolution and integration of the Consumer Insight & Strategy group through existing and new methodologies, new approaches and original thinking. You get business, you are full of ideas and you are clear in articulating them for mutual benefit to both agency and clients.


 


This position is responsible for cultivating a global, company-wide understanding of the Logitech brand consumer. On a day-to-day business, you will partner with assigned categories or regions to assess information needs for the development of strategy, base business, and new product initiatives, then developing and implementing plans to address those needs in partnership with internal innovation and user experience advisors. You will also drive awareness and usage of these insights throughout the organization, ensuring that insights and recommendations are made actionable. Primary responsibilities include representing the voice of the consumer throughout the product development and launch process, and coordinating insight gathering activities in support of annual roadmap planning.


Candidate will ensure that product and marketing development is forward looking, reflective and addresses real consumer needs; will partner with internal clients to champion, define, and deliver business-moving research and analysis, and work with these clients to apply insights gained to create material business value.


 


Qualifications desired:


5-8 yrs. experience with a mix of quantitative and qualitative consumer research


Interest and experience with progressive methods of obtaining fresh consumer insights, as well as integrating quantitative and qualitative insights into a cohesive story with prescriptive implications/action plans


Candidates with consulting, agency or client-side CI backgrounds are welcome;


Experience with shopper marketing/insights desired, preferably with strong retail and/or global consumer brands


Demonstrated experience driving insights for breakthrough consumer campaigns, (re)-positioning, and/or


- Keen eye for details, design, and experience, familiar with traditional and non-traditional media and research methods


- Excellent business strategist and relationship builder


- Able to discuss research design, application and analysis at any time, creating a feeling of confidence and security with the internal and external audience


- Ideally has interest in consumer electronics and technology business, industry / industry issues and competitors


- Best candidate will be curious, insightful, creative, with simple, yet powerful writing skills, and be a student of culture


- Advanced analytic skills preferred; experience with data visualization, data mining tools and/or SPSS a bonus
