ACCOUNT MANAGER

Summary: Markets and sells relocation, warehousing and storage and technical and library services for Office Movers, Inc. by creating and building client relationships to obtain new business. Has some responsibility for cross selling other Business Unit services within the organization including commercial and government services. Assists in developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific clients/accounts including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations, and client presentations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other job related duties may be assigned.

Participates in proposal development and pricing of bids for government work and develops presentations for customers and coordinates and directs strategic RFP responses.

Uses participation on the GSA schedule to promote Government Services.

Develops and pursues new government and commercial business for the Company by communicating with appropriate personnel at other Kane companies to leverage services and ensure maximum sales activity and cross selling efforts as appropriate.

Develops sources for prospective customers and pursues new business for all of the Company's service lines, including commercial moving, storage, third-party logistics, archiving and records retention, and office furniture installation and services.

Coordinates services with customers and performs follow up on services.

Maintains a sales lead database and markets to the government and commercial sector.

Helps establish and maintain consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events.

Provides regular summary of business development activities to sales management and prepares various reports including maintenance of required forms and logs.

Qualifies accounts in new territory by developing and understanding competitive strategies and leverages information to support sales efforts.

Performs customer account maintenance and refers customer service issues as necessary.

Represents Company at trade association meetings to promote services.

Performs as Staff Supervisor as required in the evenings and on weekends, to include organizing move personnel and performing pre- and post-move assessments.

Performs post-move customer satisfaction surveys and processes claims as necessary.

Assists with accounts receivable collection efforts as necessary.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have Gov't sales experience.
Must be willing to cover the Richmond and Tidewater areas.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Requires a valid Drivers' License.
