DESCRIPTION: Graham Staffing Services is partnering with a Washington, DC organization in order to find a qualified Administrative/Operations Assistant. This position is paying $13 per hour. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supports the office manager/HR generalist with office operations and select human resources tasks and also provides administrative support to Conferencing and Finance departments. - Provides auxiliary support to the staff and the operations team for ad hoc projects on an as-needed basis. - Includes a variety of administrative and office tasks associated with maintaining the functionality and efficiency of office operations and may include, but are not limited to the following: receptionist and front desk duties, hospitality, supply purchases, contribution to agenda planning, conference/meeting planning, HR duties, and records management. REQUIREMENTS: - Computer/Technical Skills: Intermediate familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint; experience with database software, such as iMIS, Access, or Filemaker Pro. Interest and ability to learn new applications quickly. - Keyboarding: 45 WPM, accurate. - Demonstrates excellent use of English and grammar; accurate proofreader. - Above average administrative/organizational skills with excellent follow-through. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Bachelors or Associates degree (preferably in English or business administration), or equivalent number of years of applicable administrative work experience and supplemental training or existing technical skills. - Relevant office experience; minimum of 2 years in full-time capacity. - Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and a service-oriented attitude. - MUST respond promptly to staff and member requests. - Ability to work in an environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. - Versatile self-starter with initiative, total reliability, and top-flight organizational skills. - The job welcomes resourceful thinking, ability to offer constructive ideas and apply practical expertise to contribute to the overall office administration. - Flexible and cooperative nature, outgoing personality, team-oriented.MS Word,MS Excel,MS Powerpoint,MS Access,MS Outlook,Typing,Proofreading/Editing,, Job type: TemporaryExperience: At Least 1 Year |
