What you need for this position:

- Bachelor's degree (A MUST)
- 5-7 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified can substitute for the degree.
Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
Ability to identify and secure alternative funding/revenue sources.
Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
Knowledge of laws, regulations, methods, and techniques in area of specialty.
Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
Knowledge of admissions standards.
Knowledge of transfer credit articulation agreements.
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques.
Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
Outstanding interpersonal and community relations skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community.
Knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues.
Knowledge of targeted recruitment principles, procedures, and resources.
Knowledge of faculty and/or staff hiring procedures.
Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.
Ability to plan, develop, and implement marketing strategies and programs.

Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart information to a range of clientele and/or media sources.

What you'll be doing:

- Directs the daily operations of the Admissions Office. Assists in policy planning and development on all admissions-related matters. Plans and develops strategies for admission of undergraduate students.
1. Directs activities of the admissions office which includes supervising and consulting on and implementing faculty policy for admission and articulation; reviews special admissions cases and requests for exceptions to policies.
2. Establishes and implements short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates program effectiveness; effects changes required for improvement.
3. Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the college's goals and objectives; recruits, employs, trains, supervises, and evaluates unit staff.
4. Plans and develops strategies for admission of students to meet college enrollment goals.
5. Supervises the development and implementation of enhancements to the admissions process.
6. Develops and manages annual budgets for the department and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses.
7. Plans, develops, and implements strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the unit.
8. Oversees the overall operations of unit(s) reporting to this position.
9. Represent to various institutional divisions as well as externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, students, and/or the general public/local community.
10. Recommends and participates in the development of college policies and procedures; may serve on college planning and policy-making committees.
11. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
