Job Description
|
Contractors will receive assignments from a designated local Task Manager. Processes under this task include, but are not limited to: working Help Desk Service tickets; troubleshooting hardware, software and peripherals; repairing or replacing hardware and peripherals; installing approved COTS software (including upgrades); computer equipment setup/installation/de-installation; equipment relocation; configuring hardware, software and peripherals; inventorying; validating telecommunications through servers and workstations; validating software and peripherals, and providing informal customer education. This support consists of: (1) System maintenance and upgrade; (2) Repair; (3) Installation; (4) Configuration; (5) Move/Add/Change equipment processes; (6) Enterprise Service Desk referrals (ITAMS tickets); (7) Technical instruction on the maintenance of the equipment and customer instruction on the usage of the equipment. Services include, but are not limited to: technical support; receiving trouble reports, problem determination; problem resolution; hardware/software upgrades; hardware/software maintenance; peripheral repairs and maintenance; equipment inventory, informal customer instruction, relocation of computer equipment; assembly/disassembly of computer accessories (for example, storage racks) limited wiring and technical assistance on an as needed basis on servers, routers and wiring Hardware Workstations and Laptops (Compaq, Dell and other IBM compatible) Printers Scanners Servers (Dell, Compaq and other vendors) Network printers
