Duration: 6+ Months We are looking for a SW Designer with an aptitude for designing and implementing SW Platform for use in multiple products. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of a wide range of SW languages, tools, development techniques and best practices. Breadth of knowledge is more important than depth of knowledge as the candidate will be expected to gain depth as needed through continual self-directed research and study. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and maintaining software frameworks. Candidate must be able to explore with other developers in a collegial, open-minded manner the relative merits and drawbacks of various solutions at both the big-picture and implementation-detail level. Candidate must be able to balance business objectives and technical objectives when making decisions; choosing practical solutions which maximize both. Must Have: Embedded Software Architecture experience Architecture description language UML 5+ years SW development experience Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidate must have Strong C++ skills. Preferred Skills: ROOM Real time object oriented modeling Object time Room tool Desirable MPEG2/MPEG4 audio video broadcast experience. Trans coding experience. RF Modulation experience |
