Job Description
|
Working Help Desk Service tickets; Troubleshooting hardware, software and peripherals; Repairing or replacing hardware and peripherals; Installing approved COTS software (including upgrades); Computer equipment setup/installation/de-installation; Equipment relocation; Configuring hardware, software and peripherals; Inventorying; Validating telecommunications through servers and workstations; Validating software and peripherals, and Providing informal customer education.
Education: BS degree preferred
Experience: Experience with the following: Hardware Workstations and Laptops (Compaq, Dell and other IBM compatible) Printers Scanners Servers (Dell, Compaq and other vendors) Network printers Switches Routers Software The Common Operating Environment (COE) may include: Windows 2000 and newer, Windows XP or newer MS-Office 2003 Suite or current standard Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Exchange 2003, MS Active Directory or current COTS Powerterm/InfoConnect FTP TCP/IP networking for DOS/Windows Secure Dial-In, Cable/Modem secure access Other commercial off-the-shelf software IP-based network software (Tivoli)
