Description:
Contractor is needed as a VERITAS NetBackup Administrator . Solid operational background needed to engagement in maintaining and upgrading enterprise NetBackup environment to 6.x and integrating backups into the technical strategy for Disaster Recovery. Candidate should have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining NetBackup solutions in a large enterprise environment.
Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent in real-work experience . Five (5) years IT professional with at least 2 years as a Storage/Backup Administrator, VERTIAS NetBackup 5.X or Higher (UNIX/Windows) . Detailed knowledge of Enterprise Backup Solutions, Hardware Systems, and Disaster Recovery. superior organization skills and attention to detail, including documentation skills. Highly tuned problem solving and analytical skills a must. Experience in large Backup environment (10+ Master Servers, 1,000+ clients). Must be willing and able to obtain and keep security clearance(s) as required.
Position Requirements:
Analyzes business or scientific system specifications and develops an object oriented technical system design, builds and tests Microsoft.Net application software using VB.Net application and/or ASP.Net and implements solutions for use by the end user of professional staff. Also may have the capability to build and test IBM WebSpere J2EE application software or other emerging technology and implements it for use by the end user of professional staff. May lead development efforts for less complex systems working with teams.
