Job Description
|
The position is for a Senior Data Warehouse Architect in the IB Global Prime Brokerage Technology group. The candidate will lead the architecture, design and implementation for the new Global Data Warehouse in support of the Prime Brokerage & Equity Finance business.
Responsibilities include providing leadership, oversight & technical guidance on all aspects of the warehouse. The candidate must have experience on at least 2 large scale data warehouse initiatives in the financial services industry.
As an architect, the candidate will need to weigh architecture strategy, consider implications for implementation & support and ensure alignment with project goals & business objectives. The position will require involvement with the analysis, creation of data models, database development, ETL tools selection, technical systems design, development & implementation. The candidate should have direct hands-on experience with data warehouse deliveries that can be demonstrated.
Job Requirements
Finance/Banking Industry experience
Overall responsibility of architecture. Repository Datawarehouse design and integration
Experience in data architecture, data integration, data warehouse design & delivery (10-15 years)
Financial services including middle & back office knowledge (8+ years). Prime Brokerage Risk,
Margin, Portfolio Management or Equity Finance experience a plus.
Experience in creating data marts & warehouses supporting 1+ terabytes
Experience in creation of operational procedures around data cleansing, data maintenance, data quality & metadata management.
Hands on experience with ETL tools, preferably Informatica
Experience with EII tools such as Composite
Experience with business intelligence tools
Hands on experience with Erwin, XMLSpy, RationalRose or other modeling tools and Metadata platforms
Database systems expertise in Oracle, Sybase, DB2, or other relevant distributed platforms.
Technical platform architecture
SQL programming & skills in Java, Perl, etc. a plus.
