The Director of Sales is responsible for the overall coordination, the functional management and leadership of all the sales activities of the organization. The Director of Sales reports directly to and is fully accountable to the President . Responsibilities Plans, develops, and establishes sales policies and objectives in accordancewith the objectives of organization Oversees sales activities in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures Recommends changes in philosophy and policy to serve the best interest of the organization Estimates market values and conditions Investigates market conditions and facilities to determine time, place, and type of sales Directs account owner team (both inside and outside sales persons) to achieve sales results and client satisfaction Defines and manages the monthly and annual sales objectives for all account managers and business development manager Directs preparation of reports and forwards to appropriate stakeholders Plans and maintains budget Customer Service and Retention Responsibilities: Works with operations partners to build and implement NPS (customer loyalty score) strategies Supports NPS efforts through sales channels Aligns sales approach to complement customer satisfaction & retention efforts Competencies Action Oriented Motivating Others Customer Focused Decision Making Developing Others Building Customer Loyalty Sales Business Acumen Education and Experience Requirements Prefers a four (4) year College Degree in a business related discipline Requires five (5) years experience in a sales management Previous management experience and a proven track record in increasing sales and motivating and developing employees Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have practical knowledge of the service industry and experience in developing and executing sales plans Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and possess strong negotiating skills Is highly computer literate and uses database tracking programs proficiently Must be an outgoing individual who is comfortable meeting new people and being in unfamiliar situations Must be the type of person who can put others at their ease and inspire trust Must be able to communicate with Executive level staff. Excellent skills in team building, selecting talent, training, mentoring, and developing a sales team and achieving goals. Supervises, monitors, and revises, as necessary all sales activities. Responsible for sales forecasting, and reporting. Develop, communicate and analyze strategic growth plans to meet or exceed annual margin targets and implement revenue and business models to determine viability of new services, and growth markets. Provide guidance and direction to team on account strategies/development and negotiating and closing transactions Make joint sales calls to assist Regional Sales Managers and Sales Reps. Ensures that effective sales programs are in place to maintain or increase sales revenue Seek out and target new customers and sales opportunities, initiates action plan to approach and secure new business for the company Experience with Franchisees Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by associates assigned to this classification.
