Leads software teams consisting of internal and external people in the field of embedded software for aerospace applications. Interprets, executes and manages company-wide division/unit- wide modifications to engineering policies and procedures. Represents organization as prime internal and external contact on matters of software. Creates policy deployment objectives and initiatives for the software function. This function often calls for the derivation and application of new or unique approaches. Must possess extensive knowledge in the software engineering field and be experienced in leading teams consisting of both internal engineers and contracted suppliers.
This position usually requires at least ten years of related experience, an engineering degree and comprehensive knowledge in an engineering field or MS and eight years\' experience.
