The Eastern Division Retail Operations has openings for District Shrink Specialists. This is a newly created position in which each district will have a Shrink Specialist who will work with the Director Retail Support and District and Store Management to reduce inventory losses. Qualifications: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated: High School Diploma. 1-2 years post high school education preferred. 3-5 years experience coordinating physical inventories or 1-3 years retail experience with 2-3 years supervisor or Inventory Control Clerk experience. Full technical knowledge of Back Door Receiving practices. Full technical knowledge of procedures to implement shrink best practices. Full technical knowledge of physical inventory process including counting and reconciliation procedures. Strong customer service focus. Must have excellent team building, interpersonal, and developmental skills. Able to multi-task, to meet tight deadlines, and to shift priority work loads. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to understand and communicate techniques involved in training, inventory control and management. Acceptable HR File Review including Service Scores. In current position 6 (six months).(Internal Candidates) Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide regular communication to the District manager on store progress to reduce inventory losses. Develop recommendations to reduce losses in Critical Inventory Program stores. Act as a liaison between the Director Retail Support and District & Store management. Apply expanded knowledge and use of multiple operational reports to route out and solve operational opportunities to reduce inventory losses. Conduct district level group training sessions for store management including store managers, assistant managers and ICCs. Conduct store audits to verify compliance with best practices. Coordinate physical inventories of retail stores. Coordinate programs to control inventory during store openings, closings and remodels. Provide information and support to stores related to the proper accounting for store inventory. Assist the Director Retail Support in developing and implementing programs designed to increase profits and achieve planned results. Evaluate the performance of store Inventory Control Clerks. Extensive local travel-90% The employee will be responsible for the cost of personal mileage whether using their personal vehicle or a company provided vehicle. The company will be responsible for the cost of business mileage and may provide a company vehicle if policy requirements are met and maintained. Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
