experience: Years Total Compensation: $100K+ Description: Provides technical and engineering support to the HQ PACAF/A7, Civil Engineering Division at Hickam AFB, HI. This includes the development, programming, evaluation, and project management of energy and water conservation projects and initiatives at PACAF bases. Assists with fulfilling reporting requirements, such as the Defense Utility Energy Reporting System (DUERS) and Reporting of Energy Initiatives reporting responsibilities; identifying possible funding sources for execution of energy savings projects, such as Utility Energy Service Contract (UESC) and Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC); and participating in infrastructure assessment studies to evaluate energy programs, projects and systems at bases and installations in the Pacific rim. Provides project programming and program control for facility and utility infrastructure energy conservation projects. Engineering support focuses on behavior, operation and maintenance, and efficiency upgrades to Air Force infrastructure to reduce energy use and utility costs. Provides expertise in energy efficient and sustainable design fundamentals to enhance the long-term efficiency, sustainability, and operations of Air Force facilities. Processes Air Force documents necessary to program projects on an Air Force installation. Identifies possible funding sources for execution such as Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program, and Energy Conservation Investment Program (ECIP), and others. BS degree and at least 9 years experience Knowledge of facility system installation, construction, maintenance and operation Knowledge of government construction project programming. Knowledge and experience with facility maintenance requirements. Must have ability to write, review, and present briefings and papers. Working knowledge of MS Office Knowledge of lifecycle analysis of facility efficiency and energy conservation projects. Ability to analyze systems and apply sustainable design principles to facility and utility systems. Knowledge of Air Force or other government agency facility management procedures. Security Clearance Required. |
