Job Summary:
Defines, develops and executes quality assurance processes and procedures. . Ensures software development projects allocate adequate time for quality assurance testing. Perform quality assurance testing and coordinated with development the resolution of detected flaws. Responsible for prioritization and tracking to resolution defects associated with the ValueClick Media system.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Primary Duties
-Works with project manager to develop and modify project tailored processes and procedures.
-Participates in project level review sessions with business and engineering teams to verify that reviews have been properly performed and that results are documented.
-Works with project / product manager to develop test plans and scenarios
-Performs functional, stress/load testing.
-Documents problems/defects identified during testing in tracking system.
-Tracks defects with respect to status, timeliness, and resolutions.
-Produces software-testing reports.
-Evaluates automated testing tools and provides recommendations.
-Implements automated testing procedures where applicable.
-Responds to and triages reported issues through defect tracking system.
-Troubleshoot issues and provide operational solutions where possible.
-Review, validate, and embellish documentation related to new functionality.
Secondary Duties:
-Participates in the development/modification of engineering procedures and reports.
-Participates in applicable engineering meetings.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
10+years in the Information Technology industry
5+ years as Quality Engineer
Familiar with established QA methodologies (SEI, IEEE, etc.)
Experience with ad serving systems preferred
Financial or accounting testing experience is a plus
