My client is focused in the Life Science and Analytical Instrumentation industries. Combining operational excellence and technology expertise with an intimate understanding of their customers’ needs, they provide products and services in the Health Sciences market that require innovation, precision and reliability. They are a leading provider of scientific instruments, consumables and services to the pharmaceutical, biomedical, environmental testing and general industrial markets.

Position Description:

1.      The GC and GCMS Product Manager is responsible for managing the overall performance and strategic direction of the product line. The successful candidate will work across the major functions of the company, including Sales & Marketing, Research & Development, Operations and Administration.

2.      The Product Manager will drive all product management activities related to Gas Chromatography (GC and GCMS) including business management, product management, analysis of product positioning, as well as participate in business development related activities.

3.      The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the GC and GCMS products meet the needs of next-generation scientific discovery while also achieving corporate profitability objectives.

Qualifications:

1.      Successful candidates will have ten-years of hands-on experience with GC instrumentation and product management.

2.      Demonstrated familiarity with the end-markets, industry players, and competitive positioning.

3.      The candidate must also have a clear understanding of cross functional development process, must be able to work independently, be part and provide direction to project teams.

4.      Exceptional presentation, writing and content development skills are a must.

5.      Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related technical education, Masters or PhD preferred. MBA degree highly desired.

Compensation and Benefits

Total compensation will be commensurate with the experience, but should be expected to fall within $100,000-$115,000.
