Job Description DESCRIPTION:

Graham Staffing Services seeks a Part Time HR/Accounting Assistant (Temp possible Temp-to-Perm depending on performance) to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am-5pm in their Washington, DC office. Must be able to handle working in a fast paced, team oriented environment. This position is paying $15-17 per hour, DOE.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Will work under the Director of Finance to assist with both HR and Accounting duties

- Will be available to assist the Staffing Team with additional special projects as requestedDuties are as follows:

HR

- Serve as the primary internal point of contact for all questions regarding time entrance, paycheck discrepancies, tax discrepancies, direct deposit, vacation, etc.

- Process all pre-employment background investigations and drug screenings

- Manage and maintain all HR paper files

- Responsible for all New Hire Orientation:

- Explain and review electronic time entrance procedures with new employees

- Assist employees with electronic timesheet troubleshootingVerify all tax forms, I-9 information, paycheck handling preference, etc. prior to start

- Quality check all applicant information entered into database for accuracyAccounting

- Process all employee time sheets for payroll

- Review all electronic time entrance for accuracy regarding hours, lunch breaks, holiday pay, etc.

- Collate and review all client invoices for accuracy

- Handle all client requests for copies of invoices and/or to address invoice discrepancies

- Manage and maintain all Accounting Dept paper files

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have a solid work ethic and be dependable

- Must have an interest in Accounting and be comfortable working with numbers

- 1 year professional office experience

- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word

- Excellent customer service skills

- Comfortable working with numbers
