Job Description
|
The Eastern Division\'s Human Resources Department, located in Lanham, MD, has an opening a Human Resources Manager.
Qualifications: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated:
4 year college degree (preferably in Business, Organizational Development/Communications, Human Resources or Human Resources Development).
5-8 years experience in a generalist role with emphasis in recruitment, employee relations, training, affirmative action, and management/organization development of programs.
Able to manage multiple projects.
Exceptional ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, within and outside the Company.
Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
Strong problem solving skills.
Strong leadership skills (three years supervisory experienced preferred).
Sense of urgency and business orientation.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
Acceptable HR File Review (Internal Candidates).
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage/oversee the hiring process to include, CCPT compliance, hiring kiosk, job postings, file reviews, salary approvals, store recruiting, etc.
Manage the HR Employment Coordinators.
Ensure Safeway policies, procedures and practices are followed.
Provide counsel and support to all backstage managers.
Assist in managing the Work Force Balance Initiative.
Ensure adherence to proper file and record keeping procedures.
Work closely with the ESC management on payroll/HRIS issues and concerns.
Assist HR Director with special projects as needed.
Salary commensurate with experience/qualifications.
