Serco North America is looking for a Lead Telecommunications Technician for our office in Colorado Springs. This position may require up to 50% international and national travel.

The candidate will be responsible for moderately complex tasks typically relating to installation of communications infrastructure, audio visual installation, intrusion detection and access security hardware and software, to include the addition or removal of the following Common Systems equipment/hardware such as cable racks (Installation & Anchoring), Frames, Bays, Cabinets & Stands, Fiber Optics, Protective/Distribution Systems, projectors, video screens, Video Teleconferencing hardware, intrusion detection and access control devices, Physical Security system software, and network monitoring, operations, and maintenance. General familiarity of customer engineering specifications, customer job processes. Proficient in moderately complex tasks related to installation of communications, infrastructure, understanding of installation standards, complex telecommunications equipment, cable installation standards, cable terminations including DB, RJ45, F connector, AMP coax, splicing multi-pair copper and fiber, fiber installations, various fiber connectors, qualified to accomplish DC power cuts. Proficient in a variety of test equipment used to install, troubleshoot and maintain Telco and Security systems: Bit error rate test sets, audio test sets, protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, TDRs, OTDRs, analog and digital multimeters, and other types of transmission impairment measurement sets. Assist in quality inspections. Certification for telecommunications, security, or Audio Visual certificate of completion from a training facility.
 
Required Experience

Associates Degree or equivalent and a minimum of three years of related experience required.  Basic reading comprehension, manual dexterity, and vision (color recognition) are essential.
