We have a client is Utah that is in need of a high voltage engineering specialist. This is a full-time, permanent position with a great company and solid team. Smaller company feel, yet offers the resources, stability and staying power to make this an exciting career opportunity. Client expects they will need to assist in relocation for this key hire.
This professional will drive the R&D through manufacture of power supplies - systems in 40kV to 200kV range. also need knowledge of high voltage encapsulation materials and processes for miniature packages.
Development tasks will include modeling as well as empirical testing of designed parts. Other tasks may include evaluating products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency, reliability, or potential improvement. Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that research is completed in a timely manner. Will work with other company staff to identify market opportunities and develop new products to respond to those opportunities. The engineer is also expected to spend a portion of their time studying technology and trends in technical fields to identify new product opportunities, technologies, materials, manufacturing processes, measurement techniques, and otherwise improve the company business and technical capability.
Responsible for new product development and product improvement through modeling & simulation, prototype build, characterization testing, reliability testing, and failure analysis. Participate in phase reviews, identifying risks and escalating issues when necessary. Contribute to the delivery of high quality products to agreed deadlines.
Experience in DOE and Design for SixSigma is a strong plus.
