Responsibilities Provides direct support to the sales organization.  Plans and implements projects that support the sales organization, and is a critical resource for field sales management.  Responsible for tracking and updating various reports, assisting with forecasting, commission reconciliation, and order tracking.  Assist sales teams, partners and customers in providing technical and product information, including:  creating quotes, RMA generation and tracking, assisting with support renewals and license transfers.

Maintenance and renewal support involves gathering data from the VERITAS sales renewals, the field sales rep, and the customer, and identifying how the information compliments or contradicts current sales efforts.  The info will be used to assist in defining the go forward strategy on how to collect maintenance renewal fees while not jeopardizing current and future sales efforts.

Additionally, the position will frequently require ad-hoc activities such as collecting data for feedback, assisting with marketing campaigns and events and planning and coordinating local sales activities and events.  Special projects may be identified that require implementation and follow through.

Qualifications: Bachelor degree or equivalent plus 3-5 years experience in sales, or in a sales or related environment.  Prior experience in a sales support role.  Prior experience in a similar or related role with a software company a plus.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Strong problem solving skills and ability to follow issues through to closure.  Provide assistance to sales team for routine tasks.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team with high level of flexibility and adaptability.  Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.  Proven record of building effective working relationships with a strong customer focus.

Superior attention to detail.  Strong computer skills including: Windows business application software (Word, Excel, Power Point), databases.
