Job Description
|
Duration: 6 Months or Contract-to-hire
Location: Lake Oswego, OR (Local candidates, onsite interview required)
Start Date: Note start date is in January
This role will be charged with assuming the responsibility for rolling out the SDLC processes with the Product Development Group organization.
They will be implementing workflows within the JIRA tool (you must have at least six months experience using this tool to be considered) and also driving the conversion from GEMINI to JIRA for Project Mgt.
Also expected will be the oversight of process implementation (a hands on role a doer) through scheduling and project management.
Essential Functions:
Plan, organize and manage complex, assigned project details with full accountability for meeting all project deadlines.
Drive project tasks to conclusion.
Maintain specified client satisfaction measures. Resolve client escalations and avoid further escalation to management.
Manage project timelines within project budgets and quality requirements.
Assign project wide roles and responsibilities. Manage project resourcing to ensure adequacy (quality and quantity) of all inter and intra departmental project resources throughout the life of the project. Negotiate and pro-actively manage so that resource issues do not negatively impact deadlines.
Provide regular employee performance feedback to employees manager.
Routinely and effectively track progress of a project, including risk assessment and mitigation/reduction.
Communicate project status with timely identification, tracking and resolution of project issues.
Provide routine project documentation and status reports that accurately represent the project status and that fulfill policy and regulatory requirements.
Initiate continual process improvement of project management processes.
Maintain industry awareness of current and upcoming regulations and issues within the marketplace.
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Education and Training:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, MIS or equivalent.
8 years experience with complex project management in an IT/software environment involving management of multiple team interactions.
Previous project management experience in payroll/enterprise software development preferred.
Experience in a professional services/consulting environment preferred.
Project Management training/certification desirable.
