Job Description
|
Apex Systems is currently looking for a Telecommunications Manager for a client of ours in the Denver area. This is a direct hire position looking to start as soon as possible. # PBX: Maintains and troubleshoots Avaya 8700/8500 class media servers and gateways running CM 4.0 or higher. Directly manages PBX system administrators. # Monitors performance and troubleshoots problems that impact switch availability. # Performs routine maintenance procedures with minimal downtime to ensure system integrity. # Upgrades and patches all Avaya products. # Manages and plans installation projects on various levels for multiple locations. # Telecom Networking: Orders, provisions, and terminates incoming circuits. Administers IP and T1 trunking to remote locations to maximize bandwidth. # Call Routing: Writes, edits, and troubleshoots call vectors, VDNs, and hunt groups. # Call Center Applications: Maintains and troubleshoots IP agent, and recording solution.
Requirements:
* Seven years experience in large Avaya/Lucent PBX systems and adjunct servers required. Communications Manager on s8700/s8500 systems, Call Center software, CMS, eCAS or CDR Software, voice recording systems, CTI applications, and Modular Messaging, * Experience with the following telecom products a plus: Avaya Integration Management, Meeting Exchange and Cisco products. * Ability to troubleshoot Avaya VoIP applications or networks. * Ability to consult with business units on call processing optimization techniques for voice networks. * Ability to use CM to monitor and troubleshoot network components or endpoints. * Ability to configure trunk routing associated with digit manipulation. * Ability to troubleshoot and maintain Carrier circuits using Avaya and Carrier provider tools. * Knowledge of video conferencing a plus. * Previous management experience required. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Knowledge of a wide variety of Avaya products or related technologies. * Strong problem solving, installation, and troubleshooting skills. * Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate with staff and clients at all levels of the organization.
