The Operations, Intelligence and Security Business Unit has an opening for a Sr. Systems Engineer developing web-based, database-driven applications at Hickam AFB, HI.
Individual will support the on-going activities of Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Enterprise Information Management (EIM) applications development and business process automation team. The team develops, supports and maintains multiple web-based, database-driven applications at the unclassified and US SECRET level for use by a large customer base throughout the Pacific region.
Specific responsibilities of the position will be development, integration, testing and validation of MS Office SharePoint (MOSS) based business intelligence dashboards, key performance indicators and workflow automation solutions. Deployment of SharePoint and Office Communications Server (OCS) architecture throughout the Pacific region. Production support for the deployed MOSS, SharePoint Portal Services (SPS) and OCS application infrastructure and for .NET and ColdFusion applications. Migration of SPS 2003 content and File Server Administration of Server Farms.
Additionally, individual will be involved in creation of training materials and will assist with implementation of DoD-compliant records management. Individual will also coordinate with Network Support Centers to implement SMTP, NetIQ monitoring, Disaster Recovery Planning and Firewall/DNS configurations.
Required Skills: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar discipline and at least 10 years experience in supporting/managing enterprise information management systems. Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
Years experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirements; Six (6) years experience or four (4) years experience plus Associates Degree.
Desired Skills: Prior experience developing with, providing production support to or managing: MS C#.Net, MS SQLSvr 2000/2005, MS SharePoint 2003/2007, MS Office Communications Server 2007, MS Windows Server 2003 and MS IIS v6
0. Prior experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), XML, JAVA and MS Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 a plus.
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain SECRET
